At 26,000 km it’s a brand new 5-litre Capri. I believe it is an 82. Just plated for the first time since 1990 or so. The current owner has not really driven it, but I was all like “keys, let’s go!”. And I got to take it out and about without chaperone. Runs good, faster than I expected once it warmed up and cleared it’s throat. Brand new gaskets etc smelled like plastic welding once I ran it through the gears a few times. Good stuff.

Only 26,000kms? It’s not even broken in yet. I bet it hasn’t even run over a group of people at a car show exit yet.

I always liked those Capris. To me they’re more attractive than the Mustangs of the era.

I saw one of these on my trip, and I had to do a double take.
Looked like it was pulled out of the early 80’s. Crazy metallic stripes , mag style wheels, and louvres.
